About the St. Joseph Location
The building is located within the Wholesale Row Historic District as designated by the National Register of Historic Places, a district contained within Block 42 of the original town of St. Joseph. The land was originally owned by Joseph Robidoux, founder and original owner of the City of St. Joseph. The Wholesale Row Historic District is probably the best surviving grouping of late nineteenth century warehouse commercial structures exemplifying in their street facade a full expression of High Victorian Italianate design characteristic including the use of shadow forming moldings, variform openings and small-scale ornament in a variety of contruction materials including brick, stone, and cast iron.

And if you’re planning to come to Boudreaux’s from out of town, we encourage you to take in some of St. Joseph! Many people know that St. Joseph is where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended. But the city we call home is also home to more than a dozen fine museums, great architectural treasures, a one-of-a-kind parkway system, and some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
